The SECRET ALPHABET PROJECT began as a performance in which 2 models were painted with unidentifiable symbols that resembled written text. These secret alphabets, defined as 'a sequence of symbols that record or transmit a message' signify coded information. The project explores various aspects of information: messengers, information transfer and communication, comprehension, the source of knowledge, etc.
The secret alphabet symbols are used as a common vocabulary in all of the pieces of the project. The medium chosen to produce each piece depends on the message to be communicated. Most of the work has been created in black and white, suggesting the aesthetic of printed material, and emphasizing the simple elegance of the abstract forms of the symbols.
This ongoing project includes photographs, large format drawings, works on canvas, paper collage, polyester resin, etc.
